Next Biosciences is a South African biotech company which combines medicine, science and technology to invest in innovative health technologies with the core focus being to enable people to positively impact their health with science. Next Biosciences’ service offering includes umbilical cord stem cell banking, genetic testing and the manufacture of biological products for use in Ophthalmology, Wound Care and Dentistry. The services offered by Next Biosciences from time to time may be accessed under the ‘Products and Services’ and ‘Order Now’ tabs, on the website.

Delivery 

Once Next Biosciences receives an order for the service and payment of the amount due for the service, this will be communicated to you and Next Biosciences will undertake its obligations in terms of the service to you.

Returns and refunds policy

Next Biosciences complies with the CPA. Should you change your mind regarding the service acquired, and if it is practically possible to do so, Next Biosciences will cancel the service and refund you, less an amount for any direct expenses already incurred on your behalf in respect of the service. Next Biosciences can process a refund back to a credit card (Visa or Mastercard) and into a customer’s bank account. You may be liable for credit card administration fees charged to Next Biosciences by PayGate and Standard Bank for the cancellation of a service and/or any refund made to you.

Payment options & online payments

If you have selected any of the payment plans available on the website, a compulsory debit order will be set-up and the amount will be debited from your bank account every month. For this service, an R86.00 administration fee is charged per month. The credit card processing facility on the website may not be used to make payment for any payment plans available on the website.

Online credit card transactions will be acquired for Next Biosciences via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Errors

Next Biosciences will take all reasonable efforts to accurately reflect the description, availability, purchase price and delivery charges of services on the website. However, should there be any errors of whatsoever nature on the website (which are not due to our gross negligence), Next Biosciences will not be liable for any loss, claim or expense relating to a transaction based on any error, save – in the case of any incorrect purchase price – to the extent of refunding you for any amount already paid.

The product information and specification provided is not binding but is carefully considered and intended to give a general description of each service.

In the event of any dispute arising between you and Next Biosciences, you hereby consent to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa (Gauteng Division, Johannesburg) notwithstanding that the quantum in the action or proceedings may otherwise fall below the monetary jurisdiction of that court.

Nothing in this clause or the terms and conditions generally limits your right to approach any court, tribunal or forum of competent jurisdiction in terms of the CPA.

Notices

Next Biosciences hereby selects Ariane Avenue, International Business Gateway, Midridge Park, Midrand, 1684, as its address for the service of all formal notices and legal processes in connection with these terms and conditions (legal address). Next Biosciences may change its legal address from time to time by updating these terms and conditions.

You hereby select the delivery address specified with your order as your legal address, but you may change it to any other physical address by giving Next Biosciences not less than 7 days’ notice in writing.

Notices must be sent either by hand, prepaid registered post, telefax or email and must be in English. All notices sent:

  • By hand will be deemed to have been received on the date of delivery;
  • By prepaid registered post, will be deemed to have been received 10 days after the date of posting;
  • By email will be deemed to have been on the date indicated in the “Read Receipt” notification. ALL EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN YOU AND NEXT BIOSCIENCES MUST MAKE USE OF THE “READ RECEIPT” FUNCTION to serve as proof that an email has been received.

Next Biosciences may, in its sole discretion, at any time and for any reason and without prior written notice, suspend or terminate the operation of the website or the user’s right to use the website or any of its contents subject to us processing any orders then already made by you.

You may not cede, assign or otherwise transfer your rights and obligations in terms of these terms and conditions to any third party.

Any failure on the part of you or Next Biosciences to enforce any right in terms of these terms and conditions will not constitute a waiver of that right.

If any term or condition contained herein is declared invalid, the remaining terms and conditions will remain in full force and effect.

No variation, addition, deletion, or agreed cancellation of the terms and conditions will be of any force or effect unless in writing and accepted by or on behalf of the parties hereto.

No indulgence, extension of time, relaxation or latitude which any party (the “grantor”) may show grant or allow to the other (the “grantee”) shall constitute a waiver by the grantor of any of the grantor’s rights and the grantor will not thereby be prejudiced or stopped from exercising any of its rights against the grantee which may have arisen in the past or which might arise in the future.

These terms and conditions contain the whole agreement between you and Next Biosciences and no other warranty or undertaking is valid, unless contained in this document between the parties.

  • A personalised quote is valid for 14 days after provided. 
Baby City vouchers
  • Vouchers and/or coupons cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Each coupon is valid for one purchase only.
  • Vouchers and/or coupons must be used within the expiry date stipulated on the coupon.
Marketing promotional codes:
  • Only one marketing code will be applied.
  • The highest discount will automatically be applied.
  • Promo codes must be used within the expiry date stipulated.

Discovery Health discount

Please note that the discount does not apply to the Registration Fee or Storage Fee. The discount is passed directly on to the member – no costs are paid out of the day-to-day benefits.

Sibling discount

The discount is applied to the Storage Fee only. The sibling discount is based on the number of newborn stem cells previously banked with Netcells:

  • 20% if one baby already stored.  
  • 40% if two babies already stored.  
  • 60% if three babies already stored.
  • 80% if four babies already stored.

  • This promotional code is valid until 4 March 2024, midnight. 
  • The sibling discount is included. 
  • This is only applicable to your registration and cannot be shared with friends and families.
