Tired of playing games with your sugar intake?

Our cells run on glucose, which is a simple sugar obtained from the food we eat. Our bodies work hard to ensure the amount of glucose in our blood is kept at the right level. High blood glucose is often associated with weight issues and diabetes, but chronically elevated blood sugar also has other affects such as accelerated ageing and chronic inflammation, which underlie every major chronic illness. Insulin is manufactured in the body and is used to regulate glucose levels. The way insulin and glucose do their job is determined by certain genes, and by other factors such as our weight, diet, and lifestyle choices.

Variations in your genes determine your appetite and satiety level, which may consequently affect your eating patterns (snacking, binge eating, servings, frequency of meals, etc.). Get insights into a DNA diet.

The rate at which we use calories for energy is largely determined by our genes, our activity, and what and how much we eat, resulting in significant individual differences between how we burn energy.

Discover if you have a genetically 'fast' or 'slow' metabolism.

An individual’s ability to mobilise stored body fat and burn it for exercise fuel is partly predisposed by certain genes. It is useful to understand the extent to which exercise may help weight loss and how to balance these factors out.

Gain insight into how your glucose and insulin metabolism influence weight balance.

The way insulin and glucose do this is determined by certain genes and by other factors such as our weight, diet, and lifestyle choices.

Uncover a better understanding of potential hormone imbalances and what the best way to address them is.

Fat cells may cause inflammation which disrupts the body’s ability to lose weight.

Discover if you have a genetic tendency to retain more fat stores due to inflammation.

Our test kit is a simple, pain-free cheek swab that you can complete at home. A thorough rub with a cotton swab on the inside of each cheek for 60 seconds is all it takes. No spitting or blood draw is required.

Genetics and nutrigenomics, the study of how genes affect our diet and lifestyle choices, is still an emerging science, and proper interpretation of results requires specialised training. The 3X4 Test is only available through licensed and trained healthcare practitioners to ensure you get the most value from your genetic lifestyle test. All 3X4 practitioners are required to complete the 3X4 Blueprint Certification Course. They will evaluate your medical history, lifestyle, personal preferences, and environment in conjunction with your genetic information to create a personalised health intervention designed exclusively for you.

Genetics make up the baseline ‘code’ by which your body functions. Your genetic makeup influences the impact every single choice you make throughout your life. 3X4 tests over 157 genes that can affect your metabolism, inflammation, detoxication, fitness, weight, hormones, cognition, and response to your diet and supplements. By understanding how your unique genetics impact these key processes, you can make more intelligent, personalised, health decisions. There may even be insights you never imagined (like whether that second cup of coffee is a clever idea).

Our genetic lifestyle test is designed to provide clear insights and recommendations about areas of that are most important to you.

  • Nutrient needs

What are your body’s unique needs, and how do you respond to certain foods? How well do you tolerate fat and carbs? How much vitamin D do you need? Do you require extra antioxidants and omega-3 fats compared to others? Should you limit gluten, salt, or caffeine?

  • Fitness strengths

What type of exercise will your body respond to best? How can you train smarter in alignment with your genes for better performance, faster recovery, and fewer injuries?

  • Proactive prevention

Is your body more prone to high blood pressure, blood sugar, or cholesterol? How can you support your cardiovascular and immune system for more resilience as you age? 3X4 also looks at processes like inflammation, detoxication, methylation, and more.

  • Ideal weight

Why does your body resist weight loss, and how can you manage your weight in a healthy way?

  • Stress strategies

How does your life stress affect your brain health, hormones, sleep quality, and overall wellness? More importantly, what can you do about it?

Practitioner-guided

Genetics is complex. You should not be left alone to understand your genes. Our highly-trained practitioner partners will work with you to translate your results and analyse how your genes work together to impact your overall health.

Actionable insights in order of importance

The 3X4 Blueprint Report uses info graphics, explanations, and actionable recommendations that are prioritised into the top three suggestions for nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle changes for each of your most genetically impactful pathways (hence the name 3X4). This makes it easier to know where to start, and how to prioritise meaningful lifestyle changes.

Every gene has been selected based on scientific validity and actionability. The genes in the 3X4 Test were selected from peer-reviewed scientific publications. To ascertain scientific validity, we ensure adequate research to understand what the gene does, and how the version of the gene you possess affects your body. Every gene in your report has been handpicked because there is a documented action that your healthcare practitioner can recommend to reduce your risk and improve your health.

After sending in your genetic sample, results take 3-4 weeks to process. Your practitioner will contact you when your 3X4 report is available.

The 3X4 Test is not meant as a diagnostic tool, but is instead used as a preventative and screening tool to detect the root causes for the development of chronic conditions, and can be used to implement more targeted treatment.

Rather than fixing existing symptoms, diseases could be prevented, delayed, or reversed with a good understanding of what is happening at a deeper cellular level.

Your genes are like puzzle pieces. You need to see how the pieces fit together to get whole picture.
